On his first day at Toilet Paper School, Tuvi is excited to meet new friends, until he realizes everyone else has bold penguin or elephant designs, while he has none. Left out of games and seats because he doesn’t “match,” Tuvi keeps trying to join in, even as classmates whisper that maybe he isn’t toilet paper at all. On graduation day, the rolls toss their last sheets and are left as simple brown cores; no penguins, no elephants, no labels. Then everyone notices something extraordinary: Tuvi’s core is covered in hearts. With a bright smile, Tuvi reminds them that you don’t need a pattern to enjoy the sun, watch the birds, or be a friend, and he shares a wonderful idea.
